Buck Denver Asks ... What’s in the Bible? is the 13-DVD series from VeggieTales(R) creator Phil Vischer. In his first new project since VeggieTales, Vischer has set out to teach kids (and parents!) the story of the Bible – God’s great rescue plan!

Sample Stills and Captions

This section provides access to the graphic files from the Friends and Heroes TV series for children.

The program features two types of animation: the adventure story is in 2D drawn character animation and the Bible stories are in 3D computer animation. This means that there are two sets of stills with a very different look.

To fully present the whole of the programme please can you try to use at least one still from each set in any press coverage (as a minimum: one 2D still and one 3D still). Thank you.

Jesus was crucified at nine o’clock in the morning. Two revolutionaries were crucified with him, one on his right and one on his left. Portia

Portia 1 Character

Born into a noble family, Portia has an easy life in Alexandria living with her Uncle Tiberius, the Roman Governor of the city. In Series 2 Portia travels to Jerusalem and in Series 3, Rome. Pontius 1 Character

Don’t underestimate this African Grey Parrot! He’s Macky’s pet and has an insatiable appetite – “starvin’ here” is his favourite phrase. He’s a reliable bird and is usually in the thick of it when help is needed. Download Hi-Res version of image including text file (Zip File)

Hannah Luce, aged 8, wins Friends and Heroes DVD player in Topz competition

Hannah’s prize, a limited-edition Friends and Heroes DVD player, will allow her to watch her favourite DVDs at home, on holiday and even in the car as she travels. The prize, which included an episode of the TV series, was presented to Hannah by Dave Carlos, Friends and Heroes Marketing Director, at her church All Saints, Malvern recently.
